 However, despite the great prevalence of this site, there are some people who wish to delete it and stop using it either temporarily or permanently, as a result of its inconvenience with them, or because of their inability to use it, or to take a break from all the social networking sites and other reasons  So, in this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to disable a personal Twitter account.

 How to delete Twitter

 Log in to the Twitter account by clicking on the following link: https://twitter.com/login

 Click on the gear icon at the top of the page, and you will notice a menu containing a set of options pop up.

 Click on the Settings option, and the user account page containing all its information will appear.

 Looking at the bottom of the screen, and clicking (Disable My Account) is blue, and a new window will appear for the user with a set of alerts and warnings resulting from deleting and permanently disabling the account, which includes the following:

 The ability to reactivate the account by logging in to it again, within a period not exceeding thirty days from the date of the disruption, as Twitter will keep all user data during this period if he changes his mind.

 Keep some information that may be visible to other users for a few days from the date they are disabled.

 The user was advised not to disable the account, and only change the name and password in the settings.

 Click on the blue account disable the icon, attached to the user’s name, and a message will appear asking the user to confirm the password or his password.

 Enter the password in the designated field, click on the “Disable Account” icon, and the account will be disabled.

 Click on the login icon, to allow the site to access the user's private account on Twitter, where he will notice that the site-directed the user to his own account.

 Choose the tweets to be deleted, or click the "Select all" option, to delete all tweets, provided that they do not exceed three thousand five hundred tweets.

 Click on the "Delete tweets" icon on the left side of the screen in green.

 Confirm the deletion process, and that is by clicking "OK" or in the new window that appears
