Computer

The computer consists of:

Hardware

main memory

Main Memory is a component of the central processing unit (CPU), which is one of the physical components of the computer. The computer, like a person, needs memory, whether permanent or temporary, in order to retrieve some information and data and to store processes on some data.  To facilitate the retrieval process in times of need, this is the work of the main memory.

The main memory in a computer is divided into random memory (Random Access Memory) and read-only memory (ROM).

The difference between RAM and ROM

Random memory (RAM)

This memory saves data and information that the user performs the various operations on, as data and information come from different input units, as well as the results from the processing units after performing the required on them, and RAM stores all of this data temporarily, and this memory is affected by the disconnection of the electrical current from  Computer or shut down the computer, where all the information you have stored disappears, and this memory is faster than the ROM.

ROM

This memory stores the basic drivers and programs that run the computer, and this memory cannot be modified or erased because it is stored by the main manufacturer, and the computer cannot operate without this memory, as it is not affected by the power outage of the device,  Rather, its data can be recovered when the device is turned on again.
